Kilgray Translation Technologies has released memoQ 2014. See what's new in memoQ 2014
Project templates and workflow automation – Project templates and workflow automation save 80% of the clicks for project setup and management. They automate project creation, ongoing management and project wrap-up by allowing you to decide how you want to organize your projects.
Importing terminology from other tools – memoQ has always placed emphasis on being able to deal with file formats from other tools. In memoQ 2014 we enhance this with, among other things, functionality for dealing with terminology from SDL Trados Studio and STAR Transit packages.
Views with preview – Views are collections of segments selected to work on. In memoQ 2014 you can finally join several files together or split them for editing and still see a preview.
Image localization - This functionality allows you to manage image localization within your standard localization processes: it automates the process of extracting images embedded in documents and includes functionality for transcription, sending notes to localizer and re-inserting images.
Translation pane - A translator needs to know the details and status of the documents which make up their project. The translation tab in memoQ 2014 has been enhanced to provide structure, project details (?) and assignment information.
Embedded objects – Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel objects and images are often embedded within another Office document. memoQ 2014 extracts these embedded objects and automatically adds them to the project by default.
Rename projects and resources – Projects and other resources within memoQ can now be renamed.
Language Terminal – Language Terminal is a portal for language workers. The Language Terminal integration - which was introduced in previous releases - is greatly enhanced in memoQ 2014. Create a local or online project in memoQ and a project record in Language Terminal in parallel. See your project progress in memoQ. Assign Language Terminal users to your memoQ projects. Use Single Sign On, and sign in with your Language Terminal account in memoQWebTrans to translate.
Tags – memoQ 2014 allows you to edit tags without having to fiddle with the source HTML, insert tags which were previously removed and put tags in the same order as they appear in the source segment.
Properties in Windows – Right-click a memoQ file in the Windows File Explorer, go to Properties, and check out the memoQ tab for information about memoQ.
Photoshop text filtering – memoQ 2014 allows you to filter the text in a Photoshop file.
Editing time - Measure time you spent working on a document.
Duplicates removal from translation memories and term bases – Translation memory and term base editors have new functionality to hunt down and eliminate duplicate entries.
TaaS integration – TaaS (Terminology as a Service) is a cloud based Terminology platform. memoQ 2014 is integrated with TaaS and now you can use your TaaS collection as your term base in memoQ in the same way as you would a local term base.
Existing term warning – You will get a warning if the term exists in your term base already.
