English term or phrase: Core
Hi everyone, I'm translating a fireside chat review of an HR transformation in a company which says "...And this transformation is based on three key principles, namely – Core, Professional and Agile"

Does anyone have an idea to translate core in this context?

Thanks in advance.

core
competencia clave

Explanation:

Notes to answerer

Bueno, tres:

"Básico, profesional y ágil".

Lo dicho: saludos cordiales.

But since HR solutions must now be applied more quickly to a wider range of business models, people and scenarios, we’ve had to find a way to ensure greater speed, flexibility and in-depth expertise. So we’ve developed a more customized HR operating model that maintains the advantages of size and scale – a model that is core for our business as well as professional and agile:
Core: We focus and customize our HR portfolio and resources in order to drive competitive advantages for Xxxxx. In this context, we invest in spaces that support cultural transformation and build capabilities for the digital era. For example, our global and local HR business partners are direct interfaces and strategic consultants to leaders and managers. Elevating the skills of this group is paramount for business success. Likewise, identifying standard portfolio elements, such as payroll, may be better delivered by a vendor.
Professional: To better anticipate the needs of our businesses and actively drive their success, we moved away from an HR community primarily of generalists to a more expert-driven model. So we’ve aligned our HR resources vertically and upskilled several expert teams. That’s why our recruiters, for example, are just that – experts in any and all recruiting topics. As a result, they’re at the forefront of all relevant recruiting trends and can quickly explore better ways of sourcing. Our aspiration is to have a profound people strategy in everything we do and actively lead our company forward instead of just “doing what we’re asked to do.”
Agile: Related to the concept of core, we need to ‘flexibilize’ and scale our portfolio. Instead of one-size-fits-all HR solutions, we have to be able to turn activities on and off as needed by specific businesses and to master unique market challenges. One option is to use our above-mentioned HR experts for projects anywhere in the world, regardless of hierarchy or organizational affinity. We can then deploy these resources to big-win projects such as the mega power plant project in Egypt in 2017 that was supported by recruiting experts from all around the globe. Another option is to engage external providers as needed. In any case, the best solutions must be customized to different business and country requirements.
