Glycemic equilibrium 01:52 Jul 7, 2019
The sentence to be translated has nothing to do with glycemic control or glycemic homeostasis.
It is referring to a radioactive tracer that uses a glucose-like isotope to image myocardial tissue. Ideally, the tissue would uptake the isotope, as it would glucose, but, due to a glycemic equilibrium between the tissue and the tracer the tissue is not "uptaking" the tracer.
Think of a dry towel soaking up water. If the towel is already soaking wet, it will not uptake the water as it is in "water equilibrium" |
