French term or phrase: équilibre glycémique
Hi,
Under the section "Métabolisme" I have the following sentence:

"Absence de franche captation myocardique du radiotraceur en raison de l'équilibre glycémique"

Is it "glycemic control" in this context?

This is for the US market

Thanks

glycemic equilibrium
Explanation:
Just google "glycemic equilibrium". An alternative would be "glucose homeostasis". As a scientist I would actually favor the latter. As a translator, you have to follow what is written in the source.

disagree  Nicolas Gambardella: In several years of modelling central metabolism, I never heard about glycemic equipoise. I now read about it (thank you), but I do not think it has anything to do with the current translation, which is about regulation of glucose conentration.

disagree  Michael Barnett: Actually, "equipose" could be used, but it is quite an exotic term. Like Nicolas, I had never seen the term.
