French term or phrase: une peau abstraite
This is a brochure for the Lake Geneva business park - you can see the French version of the brochure here: http://lakegenevapark.ch/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/Lake-Gen...

I am going to paste the whole paragraph where this appears, although I think you may need to refer to the brochure for visuals:

« Les deux premiers étages sont entièrement vitrés et assurent ainsi le prolongement naturel du parc dans les espaces de travail. Les volumes supérieurs, habillés d’une peau abstraite et lissée, rayonnent au coeur du site. La matérialisation du projet marque son respect pour l’environnement et donne à l’ensemble un caractère intemporel. »

I am a little (ok, very) confused by what this whole sentence means if I'm honest. I am assuming it is referring to the upper floors of the building, but am completely baffled as to what it is trying to say.

Any thoughts?

Here’s an example: https://books.google.com/books/about/Evoking_Through_Design.... It’s not the roof, it’s the abstract design of the skin, the façades.

Sorry, I shouldn’t have written ‘roof’, I was referring to you speaking about the upper floors (too early for me evidently).

Asker: Thank you Helen. That is really helpful. Clearly it is very early for me to, or maybe I just don't like flowery language on a Sunday!
