Since 2017 I'm working full-time as a freelance translator in the EN>NL and FR>NL language pairs, focusing mainly on European institutions, legal, policy and academic texts. Before that, I've gained work experience during ten years in the academic world and the NGO sector. Within these international environments I’ve built extensive expertise in research work, writing and translating of (academic) texts.

I've obtained a master degree in Sociology, a master degree in Anthropology and a certificate as a Sworn Translator. I'm included in the Belgian National Register of Sworn Translators and Interpreters and I'm a member of the Belgian Chamber of Translators and Interpreters (CBTI/BKTV). I was involved as a volunteer for Amnesty International on women's rights for ten years.

As a freelance translator I've launched Skribana to provide high quality translation, copywriting and research work especially in the field of European documents and institutions, academic texts, legal documents, policy, international organizations, social sciences, anthropology, sociology, psychology, cultural issues and human rights. Enthusiastically I will cooperate with you for translating (EN-FR-NL), editing, proofreading, correcting or writing texts. Attention to detail and high quality results are priorities in my work.
