Born and raised in Hong Kong, I possess native fluency in Cantonese and Mandarin. With 8 years of residency in the United States, I have also obtained professional fluency in English. I am a Summa Cum Laude graduate from Brigham Young University - Hawaii, majoring in Psychology. I am currently a Substance Abuse Youth Counselor in the Bobby Benson Center at Kahuku, Hawaii. Some of my past involved careers included social service, scientific research, marketing, community outreach, and recruitment. As most of my employments require face-to-face human interaction, I am a firm believer in the importance of the role that multiculturalism plays in the translation industry. Language as an avenue of delivering the thinking, mood, and behavior among human beings, the understanding of the connotation and denotation plays a crucial role in interpreting the true meaning of the messages. |
