Strings I have finally decided for Configurar TrayIconMode Registry. Thanks for your valuable help and attention!
R. Alex Jenkins Dec 13, 2007:
Que tal, 'configurar TrayIconMode do registro de dados', algo assim :)
Marlene Curtis (asker) Dec 13, 2007:
I would never translate TrayIconMode. I think I will just translate set to "configurar".
R. Alex Jenkins Dec 13, 2007:
Tough decision. You could probably translate 'set' and 'registry' but 'TrayIconMode' should NOT be translated. I would say. Sorry I can't offer a decent translation :/
Marlene Curtis (asker) Dec 13, 2007:
Strings So am I, Richard! The thing is, you have to be close to the experts to ask all the questions, something the freelancer is unable to do.

Strings
R. Alex Jenkins Dec 13, 2007:
I'm nervous about translating strings because they could contain fixed variables that exist in the real world, not just as examples. As you say context :)
Marlene Curtis (asker) Dec 13, 2007:
Strings I used to translate strings a lot for XXX (a big sized computer company), where I worked as an in house translator for many years. The downside is the lack of contest.
Carla G.. Dec 13, 2007:
I would'n translate a string, agree with Richard
R. Alex Jenkins Dec 13, 2007:
Marlene. If they are a set of strings you shouldn't translate them because they are probably a set of Variables that are be used elsewhere. You could change 'set' for example but a computer program may already have that would hard-wired into its code.
