: Me pregunto ¿recuperadas de donde? cuando luego hablan de "drawing blood for testing". Estoy de acuerdo con las respuesta, pero no entiendo el "scavenging" tomado en su contexto usual.

Thanks for your explanations, but as you may know, words in isolation may have little to do with their meaning in an expression or in a certain context. I obviously looked up the word "scavenge", but none of the meanings helped me find something suitable in Spanish. I agree with sirwalter.

Probably means ¨separate gas or solid from blood? as in Muestra sanguínea centrifugada...
Just guessing...
