Однако не думаю, что это лучший вариант, и, как справедливо заметил Andrei Gitch, представляет собой образчик Soviet/Russian English. В США, по моим наблюдениям, в названиях мероприятий такого рода отсутствует этот элемент. Однако тематика конференции/семинара подразумевает ее направленность, что необходимо учитывать при переводе с англ. на русский. В качестве примера предлагаю ознакомится с 2 версиями конференции "Applications of Computer and Information Sciences to Nature Research/Применение компьютерных и информационных наук в исследованиях природы":
