commentario biblico evangelico
Testo originale:
""Be clean." (Genesis 35:2). This involved some baths. While some of this may have been ceremonial cleansing, it is apparent that physical cleansing was definitely involved. We could use some of this emphasis today in regards to preparation for worship and service. It seems strange, however, in this day of soap and deodorants and modern plumbing that people need to be exhorted about cleanliness of body in going to worship services and places of Christian service. But one only has to attend a few church services to note there is often a problem in this matter. ***While physical cleansing is not heart cleansing, it does indeed reflect poorly on people when they do not think enough of a worship service to bother to clean themselves up for the meeting.*** It shows much disrespect for the things of God."
