Here is what the dictionary says:

Linseed: The seed of flax, especially when used as the source of linseed oil; flaxseed.

Flaxseed: The seed of flax, the source of linseed oil and emollient medicinal preparations.

That is as identical as they come.

The same but flax oil is used also as a dietary supp.

linseed oil - A drying oil used in paints, usually boiled to make it faster drying.
Flax seemed to be listed from a Google search only as a dietary supplement.

flax is the plant, linseed the seed

According to the Oxford dictionary, flax is the plant and flaxseed or linseed the seeds from it. Theoretically this could mean that linseed oil is made from the seeds alone, flax oil from the whole plant or from a different part of it, but I don't have enough technical knowledge to know whether this is actually the case.
