Portuguese term

substâncias em excesso ou não metabolizadas

Portuguese to English Science Biology (-tech,-chem,micro-)
Translating the items separately is absolutely okay, but I'm not satisfied with what I got by putting them together.

How would you translate that?

Thank you for your attention.
