Discussion

Charles Davis Jun 11, 2019:
@Liz I didn't see that question, but was coming to the same conclusion from my reading, and for that reason added "breath sounds" as an afterthought. And actually, although I think "symmetrical" is OK, "equal" is used more often.

Nicolas Gambardella Jun 11, 2019:
OCR source? Could it be a typo for MVTS? (mouvements). So the exam would say "Fréquence respiratoire dans les normes de mouvements"?

murmure vésiculaire perçu symmétrique > symmetrical vesicular murmur

I agree with raptisi about MV = murmure vésiculare, but I'm not sure about PS = préservé.

In this context it's surely got to be something to do with auscultation and normal breath sounds; it goes on to say "pas de bruit surajouté".

I was going to suggest it might be a typo for MVBS, murmure vésiculare bilatéral et symétrique, which is a pretty common finding, but then I came across this previous question:
https://www.proz.com/kudoz/french-to-english/medical-general...

And I think that's probably it:

"Les bruit normaux : murmure vésiculaire perçu, symétrique (l'auscultation est systématiquement symétrique)"

I'm sorry: it should be "symétrique", not "symmétrique".

It might possibly be plural: "murmures vésiculaires perçus symétriques". And in English you might just say "symmetrical breath sounds".
