Could this be a column they first produced (pulled) (i.e. the glass exterior part of the column was produced by the laboratory/institute, not bought as a ready-made column) and then packed (added the 0.5 cm, 0.5 cm and 30 cm of C18 of different sizes) the column? In other words, the entire process for producing the column was done in-house?
