با توجه به اینکه متنتون در حوزۀ بانکداری هست، طبق مقاله‌ای که لینکش رو در بخش مراجع گذاشتم، کلمۀ
safeguards
به «تدابیر حفاظتی» معنا می‌شه. در حوزۀ انرژی هسته‌ای نیز «پادمان» معادل این واژه است که البته در اینجا کاربردی ندارد.
