Hi Michael. Of course, I recognized the classical أصل of the expression. However, I called an Emirati friend to make sure and he stressed the idea of تخفيف النفس عن الهموم like when you go for a walk or have a capuchino and sheesha with friends.

since you associated it with "معالج", my mind drifts away from "amusing" and "entertaining". both "uplifting" and "refreshing" suggests a state of low spirit or depression that needs to be emotionally or psychologically treated.
