It seems that دور refers to a session, or round, of testing, and not a semester that one graduates in. Since this is not a concept that Americans (at least) (or at least not me) are familiar with--the idea that one graduates with a final test, or even has a general test for the whole college or department for each year--it might be an idea to somehow clarify this. When I first saw the suggested translations of round or session, I thought it must be a mistake, since generally there is no general exam, at least not in my experience. Rather, one takes classes and exams all along and is graded on those, and at the end of four years one gets a grade-point average based on all the grades in all the classes one has taken.
