Arabic term

فوت الدنيا ببعضها

Arabic to English Other Idioms / Maxims / Sayings
Hi all,
I'm wondering if you can help me to understand this expression and translate it into US English. It appears in a few isolated sentences in a project I am working on:
- لقد تحدث في كثير من الأمور وفوت الدنيا ببعضها.
- صار يتلعثم في الحديث وفوت الدنيا ببعضها.
- تحدثت إلى مديرها عن مشاكل الأقسام وفوتت الدنيا ببعضها.
- ظل يسرد أحداثًا من الماضي والحاضر دون ترتيب وفوت الدنيا ببعضها.

Many thanks in advance!

Flight of ideas

When someone rapidly shifts between conversation, jumping from one topic to another.
Let’s say he started talking about weather then policy then cars, but never complete a topic. So you can’t follow up his idea or get anything out of his conversation.
Note from asker:
Thank you, this is also a good option.
