Hi everyone,
I came across the term معاينة in a Moroccan marriage contract, in the following sentence:
"...الحل للزواج الخالية من موانعه على صداق مبارك قدره 5000 درهم نقدها منه الف درهم معاينة والباقي بذمته حلولا لها باقراره عقد زواجها والدها المذكور"
The only meaning I've found for it is "inspection, examination etc" which doesn't sound quite right in this context.
