Arabic term

fonda

Arabic to English Art/Literary Poetry & Literature
I'm sorry, if this is not exactly Arabic. This must be something in Morocco Spanish Zone (around 1950). A question is asked: 'Why he (an American) doesn't stay at the fonda?' Can it be some kind of a hotel?
Proposed translations (English)
