English term

actionable report

English to Czech Bus/Financial Human Resources
From this interview, we will create an actionable report to be sent promptly to your company.

Actionable here doesn't mean trestný or žalovatelný or similar legal meaning. Here it means that the company can take appropriate action as a result of an interview.
I am inclined not to translate the word actionable in this sentence. What do you think.

I know you have dictionaries and maybe too big and do not know haw to used them, this is why you posted such a xxxxxd question, if you should translate the word or omited. Well done, as before.
Non-ProZ.com Dec 21, 2004:
PRETTY - WE ALL HAVE DICTIONARIES Dear Pretty, , I told you several times already, but you don't seem to hear it. WE ALL HAVE DICTIONARIES, MOST OF US EVEN BETTER AND BIGGER THAN YOU, so please unless you can add something from your real language knowledge, which seems to be limited to dictionaries only, please try to abstain from commenting. You are wasting our valuable time.
Maria Chmelarova Dec 21, 2004:
actionable = illegal, which you try to avoid
but also = legal which would be; zakonita zprava ( v zmysle pravnickom )
or = litigable s moznostou sedneho konania, pravotenia,
but to avoid the word actionable is a crime. It's there for reason.

zpráva s podklady pro patřičné kroky

The report won't necessarily include concrete steps to follow. They might be contained in another document altogether. The word 'actionable', like so many others, is often being used nowadays out of the original context that in case of 'actionable' was legal: actionable: "subject to or affording ground for an action suit at law". Your context might be legal, but it's not clear from the text you provided. If it is, you can make the "patřičné kroky" more specific. Otherwise, "patřičné kroky" should be enough to express the general meaning of "actionable" as "providing grounds for action". That might mean grounds for action in the sense of the timing being right or other conditions being satisfied to proceed with whatever action, i.e. starting a process that is not necessarily legal, but operational, e.g. starting a project.

Just another option - as long as it fits to your context.
