I've found French definitions for this term (see www.jurisconsulte.net/fr/lexique/?motscles=accedit, http://dictionnaire-juridique.jurimodel.com/Accedit.html, www.juritravail.com/lexique/Accedit.html) but so far I've found no English translation.

final meeting attended by all the parties

I don't think there's an exact English equivalent, and I'd just paraphrase.

Here's one of the definitions given by Catharine to save you looking:

No, whatever you do, don't use "contradictory"! We don't use it in the same way as French uses "contradictoire".
Note from asker:
Sorry, you're right, I could have posted an example of a French definition! I think effectively if no standard translation exists, yes I'll have to paraphrase, although I'd probably add "contradictory" before "meeting".
I looked in the glossary but using "accedit" - as it's written without 'é' in my original document AND in the three online dictionaries I found I had no reason to think it was "accédit". It would be interesting to actually know the correct spelling in order to rectify the Kudoz glossary if necessary.

agree Nikki Scott-Despaigne : http://www.proz.com/kudoz/french_to_english/law_patents/4220... // I was having a job finding a possible solution and stumbled across the ProZ entry via Google. I hadn't thought to look before either!

Thanks. I didn't realise we'd had it before, or I wouldn't have answered.
