agree Henry Schroeder : Definitely something along these lines. It's hard to say without an image, might be rough or harsh instead of cruel, might be grimly for mercilessly, but I agree with the jist of it.

agree Olga Cartlidge : "Жесткая" does not equal "Жестoкая", therefore "harsh" would be more accurate. "Mercilessly"or "Relentlessly".
