Господа, не спорьте, это синонимы. Вот выдержки из трех толковых ***медицинских*** словарей, которыми я привыкла пользоваться.

1) Taber’s

dry ice
Carbon dioxide cooled to the point at which it becomes solid, which occurs at -110°F (-78.9°C).
It is used as a commercial refrigerant and for therapeutic refrigeration in the treatment of certain skin conditions, including warts.

carbon dioxide solid therapy
Solid carbon dioxide (***CO2 snow***) used for therapeutic refrigeration.
Solid CO2 has a temperature of -80°C. Its application to the skin for 1 to 2 sec causes superficial frostbite; 4 to 5 sec, a blister; 10 to 15 sec, superficial necrosis; and 15 to 45 sec, ulceration. It is used mostly for removal of certain nevi and warts, occasionally for telangiectasia.

Описания, как видите, совпадают

2) Stedman’s

carbon dioxide snow

solid carbon dioxide used in the treatment of warts, lupus, nevi, and other skin affections, and as a refrigerant. ***Syn:*** dry ice.

3) Dorlands

dry ice, see carbon dioxide snow.

carbon dioxide snow, solid carbon dioxide, formed by rapid evaporation of liquid carbon dioxide; it gives a temperature of about -79°C (-110°F). It has been used in cryotherapy to freeze the skin, thus producing local anesthesia and arrest of blood flow, and, in the form of a slush, as an escharotic to destroy certain skin lesions such as warts or moles.

В американской мед. лит-ре намного чаще встречается dry ice, об остальном судить не берусь.

neutral Maksym Kozub : You're right, in that it _can_ be called this way. Still, I would probably avoid this one in medical contexts etc, since it's too informal.

I must respectfully disagree, see www.skinhealth.com/acne.htm, also 29700 hits for "dry ice" vs. 633 hits for "carbon dioxide snow" and 20 hits for "carbonic acid snow". This may have been an informal term ages ago, it is now almost exclusive
