Russian term

рыхлые и среднеплотные аллювиально-пролювиальные

Russian to English Tech/Engineering Construction / Civil Engineering soil types
Context - soil at a construction site. It says that it is sandy (varying from medium to very fine - средные и пылеватые), and then goes on to say ' по стоению они подразделяются на рыхлые и среднеплотные аллювиально-пролювиальные.

I don't understand this second category. The first one (средные и пылеватые) comes from a standard list of 5 soil types, and so has direct English equivalents.

There seem to be various ways in which рыхлые и среднеплотные could be rendered (loose, light; dense, compact etc). Not sure which would be best
