Russian term (edited): �� ������� (�������)

I'm quite sure you know the Russian difference, so I'll give you an American perspective.

I've seen it more associated with males. Comes from the Latin (strong). Most American males will shorten it to "Val" and use that form both professionally and personally.

I've met several male "Valentines," but have yet to meet a female one. However, in a society/culture that can name their kids, Hope, Chasity, Faith, etc...anything is possible! :)
