Discussion

Elena Iercoşan Feb 26, 2007:
But you can as well have Music Composition as your major and an instrument (be it piano, violin, trombone - anything) as your minor
Elena Iercoşan Feb 26, 2007:
It's a course you MUST take whether you study theoretical issues, such as History and Theory of Music, Solfeggio, or you specialize in a particular instrument (a kind of major course). You must study a secondary instrument. Been there, done that :) (I had violin as my major and piano as my secondary instrument) HTH
spanruss (asker) Feb 26, 2007:
I should add that no other "instrument" course is listed in this transcript. All previous courses dealt with music fundamentals and teaching. Is it possible that the student specializes in a particular instrument, without it being necessary to take a class on said instrument.
