Hi there,

I am sorry for keeping you waiting for news. The truth is that I have been spending all my time on organizing the conference as that is the main event. I'll publish the details of the route at the weekend.

I suggest we walk and/or take a tram, if necessary. We'll meet at 2pm somewhere in the centre of the town, probably close to the Wenceslas Square.

That's all I can say now, please give me two or three days to finalize it.

@ Anne Sep 16, 2010

Hi Anne!

Ups! I had forgotten, that I had already confirmed, over four weeks ago, my assistance to the so called "dietary mistake"! ;o)))

And I just registered for the after-conference powwow.

Thank you very much for your articles about!

I also want to thank you and Pavel for all the work you are doing!

See you in about 2 weeks,

Helena

Pavel can guide us all Sep 16, 2010

Dear All,

I believe Pavel is the best to let us know how we can meet and adjust things for us. We just need to know if this will be on foot, or by bus, or perhaps a different type of tour. We can make a large group and go together instead of going into 2 groups, and we can all enjoy the day together.

I look forward to our reunion and I am sure we shall enjoy a lovely day together. Just make sure you get your Camera so that we can take lovely photos.

Hi everyone,

I have the entire day open and would really like to see as much as possible of Prague on foot on Friday. If Pavel is only organizing his guided tour on Friday, is there any one/two/three other people (more?) who would like to start early on Friday morning before meeting up with Pavel?

Mary

Itinerary:

3) Old Town Square (Old Town Hall with the Astronomical Clock and the viewing gallery; no worries, there's an elevator)
4) Ungelt
5) Karlova street
6) Charles Bridge
7) Jewish Quarter or St Agnes's Convent

For those who want to meet in the morning and do another trip before we meet at 2 pm:
You can "do" the Prague Castle. A good starting point is Malostranská metro station. Just follow the signs that will lead you to the Old Castle Steps. They have a relatively gentle slope and will take you to the castle's eastern gate. Even with the Golden Lane, once home to goldsmiths, closed for refurbishment, it will take you a couple of hours to visit the Castle and the St Vitus's Cathedral.

I'm really sorry that I cannot join you in the morning. When I promised to organize two groups on Friday, I did not really realize that there'll be so many things to get ready before the conference that cannot be done until Friday. But I'll be only yours in the afternoon.

At Charles Bridge, we may hop on a tram to rest our tired feet. You'll need a regular ticket or you can use your one-day/three-day pass if you prefer. Look here to find out more.

There'll be plenty of souvenir shops on our way through the historical centre of the town, inc ase you want to buy some postcards or gifts for your family/friends. The shops usually accept credit/debit cards.

If it rains, we can make a stop at a gallery or in a museum. The itinerary can be easily changed according to your preferences/mood/the weather,...

I'm looking foward to meeting you and being your guide!

Cheers,
Pavel

Thank you, Pavel! Sep 19, 2010

Hi Pavel and all others,

thank you for the schedule and the time you will spend with us!
I am sure you are really sorry not to join us in the morning, because probably you know (and you are right), that we will have a lot of fun all together...
But in the afternoon it will be very nice too.
I just hope the weather remains as it is now, here in central Europe...

But BTW:

Are you sure the tram will still be there and we will catch it on time??

At any case I think the itinerary is just great. For what you say, we will walk along the street I will be living in

OK Once more thank you very much.
I look forward to having a great time with you and all the others in Prague!

Cu,
Helena

Brochure download - where? Sep 22, 2010

Count me in, Paweltje. I've just seen your video message. Wow, very impressive. Originell und akzentfrei, so wie wir deutschen Kollegen dich auch kennen.
Where can I download the brochure mentioned in the video clip?

Thanx for your answer.

Hi,

The link is on the main page, www.proz.com/conference/157.

'm going to add the link to a page where you can download the brochure. Originally, it was intended for the ProZ.com Virtual Conference that is going to be held on Thursday before the conference, but that may be a little bit late for those who set up early next week.

Cheers,

weather conditions Sep 23, 2010

Dear Pavel, and all,

It would be very nice of you, if you can let us know the weather conditions at this time of year in the Czech Republic, so that we would know the type of clothes we can get.

Thanks a lot and I look forward to meeting you all.
