September and October were super busy months. Subtitling for Amazon and for a local Malaysian TV media company. Total 30 movies and series titles in 2 months. Efficient work is crucial to be able to meet deadlines.
Just completed subtitling job for 9 movies (Amazon Prime). 1157 minutes or 19+ hours of movies. Some may think subtitling is 'easy' as you're watching a movie. However, a lot of focus is needed to ensure quality as read by end users (viewers).
Completed a subtitling job. 230 minutes. It seems that streaming is the in-thing now post-covid. Thus subtitling jobs will increase.
( modifié) Just completed a subtitling QA/QC for 3 movies. Around 300 minutes in total. I love QA/QC as it makes you really focus on maintaining the standards of translation/subtitling. It forces you to improve yourself to be able to QA/QC fairly. Max Deryagin, a member here in Proz, has posted a good blog post on this. https://www.md-subs.com/five-years-of-sub-qc
Currently finishing up one subtitling task and starting a new bigger one immediately. Subtitling is exciting as it involves you IMMERSING yourself in the video given.
( modifié) Time management is important to be a successful translator. When you're swamped with jobs, you need to know how to tackle them well! (Only accept jobs if you can produce quality output though. It's only fair for the client.)
( modifié) GRAMMAR is important in both the source and the target language. That's why I am brushing up both sides at once. Even software does not do its job sometimes. I've caught out grammatical errors that some software did not pick out and when I rechecked, true enough, the grammar was wrong.
Currently handling transcription for English-Malay audio and translation for a UN-related organisation. I find many interesting things while doing translation and other language-related work. Pretty fulfilling! :)

( modifié) I am currently working on transcription tasks, listening to audio and typing out the text according to what I hear. Listening is a crucial part of language services and transcription sharpens listening skills.
( modifié) Pretty busy few months. Biography translation, email marketing, software localisation, website localisation and a few subtitling jobs. Need to keep language skills sharp.
( modifié) Going through ProZ.com Spotlight Training. Chapter 1. Learning is a lifelong endeavour. Always sharpen the saw.
