First off - I'm really happy with this invoicing tool - it does the job very well. I did, however, notice a minor glitch that is a bit annoying to those who receive my invoices. Converting an invoice to PDF makes the subtotal, total, etc. lose their proper formatting.
Instead of displaying, say, Subtotal 5587.60 , the PDF shows 5 on one line, and then 587.60 on the next, making it difficult to read the correct sums. I've looked through my previous invoices issued via Proz, and the problem is not present there, so this seems to be a new issue. I hope you're able to fix this one soon.
Other than that, I'm really happy with this tool.

Hi Per,
I've adjusted the way those lines wrap in the standard English invoice template, and that appears to have fixed the problem you describe. Please let me know if the problem persists. Thanks for the kind words, I'm glad you find the invoicing tool useful.
Best,

I really love this new feature. My biggest problem is keeping track of my invoices.
Is there anyway that we could have our pay pal information on the invoice? | | | Invoice printing and saving in a file on the computer | Jun 26, 2009 |
Hi Jason,
this tool looks great but I'd need to incorporate the invoices generated on ProZ. into my normal invoicing system. For that I need to be able to at least print the invoice and ideally save it on my computer not as a HTML.
Is it possible?

Hi smiles,
I'm not sure if this is what you need, but it is possible to back up your invoice data by exporting it to a spreadsheet. To do so, go to your "invoices" tab, and click "Export these invoices" to download your invoice data in comma-separated value (CSV) format, which can be opened in a spreadsheet program like Excel.
Does that help?

Hi Nguyen,
A similar request has been made by others. A purchase order tool is being considered. What tools do you use to create POs now?
Thanks,

Hi Marleen,
I'm glad it's useful to you!
One way to add your PayPal information to your invoices is to put it in the invoice notes field. You could have your PayPal information show here by default on all your invoices by adding it to your default invoice notes in the invoice settings page.
I hope this helps.

Hi Pavlina,
You can generate a PDF version of your invoice by clicking "Export to PDF" at the top of the invoice details page. This PDF can be printed or downloaded to your computer. Will that do what you need?

Dear Jason,
Thanks a bunch for the whole invoicing tool. It is very useful and interesting. And, I was very lucky to begin my serious work on Proz.com almost as this was released!

There are, however, some small issues with the system; of course, I don't really know if your are in charge of the whole invoicing tool. Anyway, I just found a difference between what I had entered as a payment for an invoice and what appeared on the invoice! Also, in the Payments received section of my reports screen, there is a payment that matches no invoice; in fact, I mustn't have that payment at all; when I click it, I see a message saying "something went wrong ... no invoice was found with that ID."
Could you please help with this?
Thank you.

Hi Hossein,
Does your invoice data look accurate now? There was an issue last weekend with database replication that could have caused a delay between when you entered your invoice data and when it was available for you to view. The issue should be corrected now.
Best regards,
