Star Transit Satellite PE hangs when Alt+Insert

Hi.
I previously worked with Star Transit Satellite PE, on a PC that had WIN98 and it worked fine.
Now I got a brand new Dell PC with WINXP Media Center Edition and I downloaded a new version of Transit Satellite PE but I can't get it to work: every time I press Alt+ Insert for the first segment the program freezes. The only thing I can do is to close the program. The "Fuzzy Index" Window stays on the Toolbar and shows 0% for the progress bar and folder.

As test projects I used the tutorial and other PXF data. I uninstalled and reinstalled a freshly downloaded version of the program a couple of times and the problem is the same.
Anybody has ever had the same problem and/or knows a solution?

Restart the computer Jan 10, 2006

Hi Jemo,

I have the same problem sometimes (every 6 weeks or so) with Transit Professional + WinXP Home - so it does not seem to be a Satellite problem. The only "cure" I know of is to restart the computer. That has always worked for me.

Thanks Jill. Unfortunately since this happens almost everytime I try to start the program, it doesn't do the trick for me.

problem with Outlook Express Jan 16, 2006

Hi Jill,

I found out that there is some problem with Outlook Express and Star Transit Satellite PE running at the same time time on my machine. I switched to another mail program and now everything works fine.
