This is from a TV documentary series on nature. Does this mean "almost the entire five years?" I am edting an existing translation, and the translation takes this to mean the best footage from the five-years' filming.

: お示しの最後の例文のように good を使うと「かなりな、結構な」といった強調になることがよくありますね。best はその最上級ですから気持ち的にもっと強く「こんなに」ということを言いたいんでしょう。-

Discussion
I am taking this to mean that the duratoin from the start to finish was five years, and they spent, say, 300 days out of 365 days each year, as opposed to the duration was 4 and a half years and they spent every (working) day during this period.
Also, what sort of quantity (number of days in this case) would you understand for good part of, better part of, and best part of ...?
