Bio
To whom it may concern,

I have a wide experience as a translator since I have been working ever since I finished my BA in Translation and interpreting and my MA in Audiovisual Translation. During that year, I did my internship in a company related to translation, where I had the opportunity to improve the skills learnt during my master’s degree and to see up close how to schedule and plan every translation. Afterwards, I have been working as a freelance translator in fields such as literature, dubbing, subtitling, voice-over and proofreading, and I have had the possibility to work with CAT tools such as Trados. Nevertheless, being offered large projects of translation, I have had the chance to improve at scheduling, monitoring translation projects and co-ordinating other translators. Furthermore, I have had clients from different countries, which has helped me to improve at coping with customers’ satisfaction and improving my written and spoken English at professional levels. Besides being a freelance translator, I have been constantly looking for different clients and reliable resources, which has taught me how to source translators and companies. Finally, not only am I particularly attracted to this job offer because I have always had excellent management skills, but also because I would love to keep growing as a professional. I have an excellent command of Basque and Spanish, as I am a native speaker, and English (Certificate of Proficiency in English) and French (Diplôme D’Études en Langue Française, DELF B2), due to the year I spent in Orléans, France.
I am extremely interested in working at your company because I truly believe I have the skills needed for this job and I think it would be a very challenging and enriching opportunity. I am good at working under pressure, which is quite common when working in the translation field. I am also used to multitasking, due to the years I spent studying and working at the same time. Furthermore, I am a good team worker, a good observant and I have an eye for detail. I think accuracy should be the slogan of every translator and we must ensure our clients get a high-quality service that satisfies their needs.

I hope my skills and aptitudes meet your expectations. Thank you very much for your time and I look forward to hearing from you.

Yours faithfully,

Arrate Landaluze
