Spanish to English: El Hombre de Oro General field: Art/Literary Detailed field: Cinema, Film, TV, Drama
Translation - English Epilogue
The space is a tailor shop. At its heart is the steel mannequin.
The WOMAN — who should no longer be called WOMAN but rather BROKEN DOLL
— may be in the foreground, yet she does not exist to the TWO MEN.
The ELDEST examines the mannequin as a sculptor does a lump of granite: he looks at
it from every possible position and distance; he circles around it and closes his eyes,
facing it, as if trying to induce a dream. With his eyes closed, he tries out poses that
only later shall we recognise as those of a matador in the bullring.
