Bio

My mother is an English teacher and university lecturer, as well as a long-time translator from English and German. So when I was little, I also had a chance correcting the student work brought by my mother.

While living in the USA (Chicago) for 7 years, I gained experience in the field of transport logistics - I was responsible for a team of 15-25 people, consisting of newcomers from different countries. It developed my knowledge of American English. I also had to communicate with drivers in Lithuanian, English, Polish and Russian languages including interpreting and often verbal translation.

For the last 7 years I have been living in Poland. My wife does not yet speak Lithuanian, so we're having constant communication in Polish.

During those seven years of living in Poland, I developed my Polish language skills.

Regularly twice a week I give lectures to the audience of 70-100 people in Polish. During pandemics, we do that remote way(Zoom). Depending on the chosen topic, I do prepare a talk with a length up 30 minutes. Very often  a choose topic in English and then translate into Polish. So that's why I associate my future with translation.
