When point-of-sales terminals go down, each register must have a sales record ledger...
I would forget the allocated,assigned etc...the thing needs to already be there..the assigning/allocating is just Style!

: As, with ... cash register", this is the idea: I think the term "till" is used, as in "till row" or "till line"; I think "carnet de débit" must be something like a cashbook for recording things like credit notes ("avoirs"), outpayments like cashback...

: no..it means the sales ledger book must Be there....presumably, they fill have to record sales but this sentence does not say that; it just says that each register must have one of these account books..
