Spanish term

evidencia que soporta fuertemente

Spanish to English Science Biology (-tech,-chem,micro-) Biotechnology studies

Discussion

Quin puede traducir as?

evidence strongly supporting/which[/that] strongly supports

These results serve as evidence to strongly support the division of the isolates of the two pathogens into two large groups.

I don't see any reason not to go for a literal translation here.

agree Heidi C : actually, the original sounds like a literal translation from English! (it sounds forced in Spanish...) Hi there :)

agree María Eugenia Wachtendorff : Absolutely right, of course. Only a little bit wordy :))

:) Sometimes it only exists in the author's head. I've had Spanish-speaking authors that write things like this because of their heavy exposure to scientific literature in English in their field.
