Shawn, at first, when I saw your question, I wondered the same thing. Then I saw my reference to the Oxford Dictionary.

Here is the entry from the Oxford Dictionary on "indicador":

So this is some kind of electronic gadget that monitors the temperature and replaces temperature sensitive labels?

I agree this could be a warning label sometimes, but not all the the time. I still think "color changing label" is a bit more concise.
