Hola!!!
Gracias!!!
Hellen

inherit... a more livable planet
¡Suerte!

...a friendlier planet
this sounds "friendlier" than "livable planet" to me !

: Ours will never be a 'friendly' planet [human nature] but it hopefully might, eventually, become more 'livable'..for ALL its inhabitants. Sorry & Saludos, sinceros:-))

leave behind a more inhabitable planet
So, it would read... We have the obligation to leave behind a more inhabitable planet for the future generations.

: this gets my vote - sounds nice and natural (though I would personally leave out 'the' before 'future generations'

Thanks, LisaMac. Actually, I was wavering on that too. I agree that it sounds better without 'the' before 'future generations'.

: I agree with this wording the best! However, I believe it should be 'habitable' instead of 'inhabitable'...just a note. It makes a big difference, as i'm sure you know.

leave . . . a move livable planet
In this case I believe the meaning of heredar is to leave or pass on

: Agree - "more livable" is the most natural-sounding. For "heredar", could use "leave" or "leave behind" or "pass on".

make the planet a better place for future generations to live in
another way of saying it. Somehow 'livable' looks like it should be between inverted commas as it doesn't sound THAT natural (to me..)

bequeath/hand down ... a more hospitable planet
