From an environmental impact report describing species of plankton living in a river. Anyone know the English translation? Can't find ANYTHING out there that makes any sense. Thanks!

That's strange, liz. I counted 25 (without the sub-sections). We must have different "versions" of Google!

4 KudoZ points awarded for this answer. Comment: "Thanks so much to everyone for all your help. Sorry about the lack of context. I was given the word out of context, along with about 1300 others that were repeats in a text to be translated later. So, I was working with absolutely no context. No that I have the text I can see that it should be euplanktons. Everyone was on the right track but Margaret was the first one in. Thanks again!"

Thank you, Kevin. Given the fact that the word was in isolation (without surrounding context), I could not say for a fact what word /or phrase needed, would be euplanktonic "species" or other.
Note from asker:
Great references. Thanks Taña!

euplanktonic studies

Or: studies on euplanktonic species.

Effectively, there doesn't seem to be a "euplanktologuy" yet, although 'planktology' is common. I don't know whether planktology would suffice for your context.

And
'euplanktonic species', not euplantonic studies.

Ta, Kevin. Glad to be of help.
For future enquiries, you might note that it helps us help you if you put a sample phrase in Spanish. If we'd had that, all of us would have realised that you were looking for the species, or the adjective, not the noun.
Note from asker:
That would explain my difficulty in finding references. Nice. Thank you very much.
Peer comment(s):

agree liz askew : if they are referring to studies.

Thanks, Liz. (See my note at 20 min: it was a typo; I meant euplanktonic species.)

Yes, euplanktonic species. Thanks, Muriel! :-)
