I'm looking for a way to avoid it sounding so wordy...
Perhaps "our promise is to (listen and understand)" or even, " we promise to listen and understand".
Although I have to say that I am not happy with the combo of listen and understand, even if that is what it says in the Spanish - I'd probably try to get round it some other way.

: This just does not fit in here. It's very simple. The original is not giving any reason for the commitment, while you are. The original is simply stating a fact.

Yes, but this is an advertising/promotional text. When you translate texts like these your translation has to act as an advertisment/promotion, not a translation. "Commitment" by itself sounds stilted in this context.

Respectfully, I totally diagree with you. I think a company describing "our commitment " is right on the money. Consider 1.3 million google hits for "commitment to quality", most of the top results of which are from companies making similiar statements.
