Hi, the context is a share and purchase agreement and the paragraph concerned mentions:
La Sociedad podra usar sus fondos para la creación, la gestión, la valorización y la cesión de una cartera de cualquier tipo de títulos y patentes de cualquier origen, participar en la creación, en el desarrollo y en el control de cualesquiera empresas, adquirir por via de aportación, de suscripción, de toma en firme o de opción de compra y de cualquier otra manera, cualquier tipo de títulos y patentes.

binding/firm purchase

I do not think this means "outright" (which to my mind is ambiguous)
I think it means "firm" for which we would often use "binding" in a EN official/legal document
