Which I translated as:
In effect, the important guitarists who participated in the judging panel, with very few exceptions, undertook their artistic or teaching activity during their visits to Venezuela

Revisa esta frase, a ver si es más explícita de que no fueron ellos lo que no lo hicieron, sino que no fueron aprovechados para ello.

Tell the author he wasnt very "expecifico" on the original version.

Use you imagination and express what he wants.Although my first thought when I read it was that the guitarrist didnt bother to do any show.

: Agreed that there's no hint of what he wants in the original. Also agreed with this and other translations that are closer to English usage, getting away from "undertake ... activity."
