prueba t con dos colas
Se denomina test o prueba "t" de Student y se utiliza para determinar si hay una diferencia significativa entre las medias de dos grupos, es decir que se utiliza cuando deseamos comparar dos medias.
En la prueba t de una cola probamos si las medias son iguales o la primera mayor que la segunda, o si son iguales y la primera menor que la primera.
En la prueba t de dos colas solamente estudiamos si las medias son iguales o no, no importa la direccion es decir cual de las medias es mayor o menor que la otra, solo comprobamos si son iguales o no.

: Con «bilateral». Navarro desaconseja la traducción de «two-sided» por «de dos colas».
