French term

stock de dégradation

French to English Bus/Financial Business/Commerce (general) in Tender documents
This has come up a couple of times in the tender documents I am working on. It is also written as "le stock des dégradations." For context, the document also refers to "le stock de fin de vie," "le stock annexe," "stock de maintenance," and "un autre stock." None of the possible translations I have come up with seem to be terms that are in use at all, so I am wondering if there is an accepted term/translation for whatever this is and I am just completely overlooking it, or if I should get creative.

Full context:

Thank you in advance!

Yvonne Gallagher Jun 10, 2016:
or standby (replacement) stocks?
Yvonne Gallagher Jun 10, 2016:
Thanks!
yes, just saw it in your other question afterwards! and been thinking about it...

maybe replacement/resupply stocks then (for the damaged/impaired devices)?
http://www.theconstructionindex.co.uk/tenders/index/view/ref...

"deteriorated" seems to me (but I may be wrong!) to be used more for fresh foods or stuff languishing in storerooms for a long time rather than devices in active use
Roberta Beyer (asker) Jun 10, 2016:
@Gallagy Sorry! It is for roadside automated traffic monitoring devices. It is for supply and maintenance of them.

At this point I am fairly certain that what this means is a special stock of equipment to be used in the case of deterioration or damage to the original equipment, but I am still not sure what to call it. Using "deterioration stock" as a placeholder for now.
Yvonne Gallagher Jun 10, 2016:
Hi Roberta...
can you tell us what the device/product is? And/ or what the tender is for? Is it supply of the product? repair etc?
Roberta Beyer (asker) Jun 10, 2016:
Thanks Delina! Thank you! I am certain from the context of the document, though, that it is referring to physical items.
telefpro Jun 10, 2016:
Some stocks alo get deteriorated over passage of use.
Delina Alwanger Jun 10, 2016:
depreciated stock. It sounds like it refers to the depreciation on the books.
