Discussion

Giovanni Rengifo (asker) Aug 29, 2018:
@Joseph No problem!
Giovanni Rengifo (asker) Aug 29, 2018:
@philgoddard I hope you realize why I can't use "auscultación pulmonar" here. In any case, I believe it isn't justified to make these kinds of assumptions. Also, the part that I'm actually having issues with is "adecuadamente ventilados", as I couldn't find any online references of the English equivalent,
Joseph Tein Aug 29, 2018:
Sorry about that, Giovanni. Your question made it look like you hadn't tried anything. I'll remove the comment in a moment.

The ACP can be found in Cosnautas, also in a new paperback book of Spanish medical acronyms and their English equivalents, which I'll post below.
philgoddard Aug 29, 2018:
Joseph does have a point. You say anything about checking the glossary, so he assumed you hadn't.
The three previous questions show that ACP stands for cardiopulmonary auscultation, though I'm not sure how to fit that into this particular context.
Giovanni Rengifo (asker) Aug 29, 2018:
@Joseph I think I know what you mean. I did check the glossary. I'm just not sure how to translate this phrase, and with all due respect, your comment isn't very helpful.

Peer comment(s):

agree Joseph Tein : Perfect. ACP = ambos campus pulmonares is found in Cosnautas as well as Ian Beattie's book. "Adequately ventilated" is quite common. I could have posted this but I prefer to suggest how people can find the answers for themselves when possible.

Thank you!
agree Stephen D. Moore : Right on. You could also say "pulmonary fields" if you wished, but Liz's answer is dead accurate.

The correct expansion of ACP is one of the 39 expansions given for this acronym in Cosnautas.

(It's not quite what Phil suggests)

We also have a new resource by Ian Beattie ... a paperback reference book containing over 14,000 Spanish entries with their expansions and the corresponding English acronyms including the English expansions. See the link below:

This discussion of the term "symmetrisch belüftet" (literally: "symmetrically aerated", and used virtually identically to "ACP adecuadamente ventilados") may be helpful – all relevant parts are in English (but you do speak/read some German as well, don't you?)
