Well done, Harald! Native speaker references are always good for proving a term exists. I have no doubts anyway, since I know your quality. Still, there are just too many ways to interpret both terms when there is no further clarification. And that's why I'm sticking to my suggestion.

Sustainable diet? Sounds very odd to my ns ears. What we eat sustains us, which is why it is called the sustenance of life. Environmentally sustainable eating habits would work, though.

That's all you need to say, I reckon.
- It's promotional blurb, so you don't want the translation to be too dry or too literalistic.
- You could expand it to "environmentally sustainable" if you wanted to, but I think that's too ponderous. In 2021, and in this context, I don't think anyone is going to misunderstand what "sustainable" means.
