I need to translate from Paraguayan Spanish into English. I have experimented with different versions of it, but none of them sounds right to me...

Not a native speaker, but I would try something like this as it seems to draw from the general vocabulary: "upon passing the prescribed examinations and fulfilling other academic requirements has earned to be conferred the degree of..."
