Port services
Hi all,
I'm translating a text about maritime transport from Spanish (Dominican Republic) into English (UK) and am having trouble with the word in the title. It appears in the section about port services for transportation vessels. Please see below for wider context:
'En general, los servicios portuarios pueden ser concesionados. Actualmente, los servicios de arrimo, balizamiento y remolque están operados bajo esta modalidad. No obstante, la prestación del servicio de remolcador está reservada a las embarcaciones nacionales (bajo matrícula dominicana). Las empresas prestadoras de servicios deben estar constituidos en la República Dominicana y obtener una licencia emitida por APORDOM.'
In a maritime context, 'arrimo' seems to only be used in the Dominican Republic. On the Dominican Republic authority website, the term has the following definition: 'Consiste en el traslado de la carga desde el costado del buque transportador, hasta los depósitos cubiertos o patios al aire libre o viceversa.' The URL to this website is here: https://portuaria.gob.do/
Could anyone with a better knowledge of this area help with a precise term based on the definition above please? I'm not 100% sure.
Many thanks in advance!

30 Marine arrimar [v] stow

https://tureng.com/en/spanish-english/arrimar
Your definition "Consists of the transfer of cargo from the side of the transporting vessel, to the covered warehouses or open air yards or vice versa"
Stowage is the secure storage of cargo onboard a ship. Unnecessary handling of containers may cause damage to the cargo. When a container has to be moved and repositioned to make way for another container, it is called restow.
Cargo stowage can be described as the process of accommodating cargo into a transport unit or a vehicle so that it will arrive to the destination in a safe and timely manner. Efficient cargo stowage processes are important in shipping because under-performing stowage systems and processes waste resources, disrupt supply chains and strain the environment. Well-functioning processes, on the other hand, help to ensure that vessels are sailing as fully loaded as possible, using optimised speed to reach the next port as scheduled. https://ecoprodigi.eu/exoprodigi-efficient-cargo-stowage-pro...
Towage is when one vessel hired another to provide assistance under a fixed remuneration in view to accelerate the progress. The contact of towage usually involves between barges from the ship owner and the tug owner who using tugboats to tow another.
Drayage is an essential step in shipping containers by intermodal freight. Drayage means overland transport of goods over a short distance from a trucking terminal to a railway terminal etc. These goods are taken from a loading dock to a warehouse or storage facility from where they are transported to inland locations such as distribution centers, stores etc. From here, the goods are further distributed via roadways to local shops where retail customers buy them. https://www.marineinsight.com/maritime-law/what-is-drayage-i...
