Hola nuevamente,

Often means website But, more generally, "platform" is increasingly used nowadays to refer to a metaphorical base camp or starting point.
philgoddard Mar 2, 2023:
It often means website, and they may have meant "las plataformas".

While 'platform' is used a lot these days, I don't think we could use it in English in this context. I would translate the start of this sentence as:

The churches and families that advocate for...know the way to...
Peer comment(s):

neutral neilmac : I use platform in this sense all the time nowadays, in different contexts, not just IT/EDI.

platform

As often used nowadays in the sense of a vantage point, i.e. a base from which to set out from, in the case in point, churches and family organisations or groupings.
As in the usage examples below.

Although I sort of agree with your suggestion to omit the offending "platform" I can't bring myself to disagree with it because I use it in English all the time.
As examples of usage in education, a search for "the school as a platform" gets over 300,000 hits. The same goes for "University is a platform".
And a similar search for "business as a platform" gets over five million results.

Example sentence:

Use your church as a platform for evangelism....

Although most young people now see the church as a platform for talent developmen..

agree AllegroTrans : This works for me. May not have been acceptable in this context 60 years ago but it is now. 60 years hence no doubt the only acceptable term will be "launchpad"
